Here is an inventory - in an original format - of the different elements of scenery, costumes and accessories, which come to life on the stage of the Dutch National Opera.
The scenery and costumes designed respectively by Patrick Bannwart and Meentje Nielsen seem to have something of the mundane wedding about them; there is much kitsch and bright colour on stage - amongst which a few objects seem rather quirkily offbeat (the bicycles for instance). The cumulative effect of all this is to announce the marital and comic drama that will unfold.
